Invitation in a Bottle!

Your guests will go overboard when they receive their invitation as a message in a bottle!!!
Imagine the surprise and intrigue you will create around your party when you invite your guests to a murder via a message in a bottle?
We found these bottle invites online and personalized them by sending the invites that are provided in the Night of Mystery party packets in them. (You can download an invite here.) The bottles were able to be sent via the post-- just make sure to seal the bottom of the bottle with the address label or tape.

When we added in our own stuff, this is what our guests received!

These bottles are perfect to use with Murder in Margaritaland and Cruising For Murder. Not to mention, we found some pirate-themed bottles online that would work perfectly with Murder Among the Mateys!

Beautiful Kids. Beautiful Party!

Every month, we highlight one mystery on our Party of the Month link on our murder mystery message board. This is October's winner!

My twins turned 14 this month and we had the "Horror at Homecoming" mystery party.

It was beautiful. We made "shooting stars" for the kids to stand between when they entered for their Photo Opt location.

Standing by the shooting stars.

We had boutinieres (sp?) and wrist corsages for all of the kids. We set an absolutely beautiful table outdoors for their dinner and then went inside to the "dance".

We reconstructed all of the evidence to have "real" evidence vs the photos. Made tickets for them to enter the dance, voting sheets, etc. Used the black vinyl "scene setter" with the silver starts on it to cover all of the walls in our garage. Had the star border all around the room. Made huge hanging gold and silver stars to hang from the ceiling along with 3 dozen gold, silver and black balloons. Put a stereo out there and had a DJ make songs for us to play. It was absolutely beautiful!

Some "real" evidence

The kids had a great time. It was a tremendous amount of work decorating and preparing, but it couldn't have been better.
